Arthur G. Rempel Natural Area
The Fort Walla Walla Natural Area is a great place for nature exploration any time of the year. A recent hike around the area found the trails to be wide open for easy walking. When the leaves fall in the winter, keep an eye out for the resident Great Horned Owl, ducks and other winter birds. You may even see the Red Fox that is often seen roaming the fields and quickly disappearing into foliage when spotted. This is a great place for a family walk to bring the children out into the urban wild. For the sake of the fox and the deer please keep dogs on a leash.
