The trails in the Blue Mountains need your help. Volunteer with Blue Mountain Land Trust's Blues Crew for a fun and rewarding way to give back to the places you love to hike.
Blues Crew teams will help to improve the quality and accessibility of local trails by working directly with regional agencies such as the USFS Umatilla National Forest. Blues Crew welcomes anyone who wants to lend a hand and help out on trail—whether you've had years of experience or you're brand new to tools. See details below and join a work party today!
Can't make it out on the trail? You can still support the Blues Crew teams and Blue Mountain trails by donating. The Blues Crew is in need of equipment and material to support the necessary trail maintenance in the Blue Mountains. Help us, help your beloved trails.
Kiyo Fujishin, Trail Crew Foreman for Umatilla National Forest, Walla Walla Ranger District. Kiyo was the Blues Crew’s guide and mentor for our first season on the trails. He guided us in the construction and maintenance of a proper trail. The Pulaski and the McLeod became familiar tools. We learned to pull not push the cross cut saw. We look forward to working with him in 2019.
