The 1919 Walla Walla Tractor Show Documentary

“The 1919 Walla Walla Tractor Show” tells the story of the the biggest agricultural exposition this side of the Mississippi. Nearly 49,000 people attended the three-day event that showcased the agricultural innovations of the time. The tractor show and associated Blue Mountain Music Festival was an extraordinary organizational feat, which doubled the size of the town in the spring of 1919. This half-hour documentary was created by Linda Herbert and Daniel Biggs and produced by Blue Mountain Land Trust.

On August 17, 2019, Blue Mountain Land Trust hosted Farm Day at McKinney Farms. The event celebrated the history of the 1919 Walla Walla Tractor Show with presentations by local historians and community members, live demonstrations of 20th century farm equipment, and the premiere of the documentary.
