Overview
Blues Crew will provide socially-distanced trash pickup to help beautify Walla Walla County rural roads. Volunteers will drive their personal vehicle to a designated location, walk along the route picking up trash and litter, and work back to their cars. Individual segments vary in length, but out & back will be roughly 1 – 2 miles.
Volunteers must be able to repeatedly bend over and pick up items and carry approximately 10 pounds in a trash bag, filling 3-4 bags. Time frame is approximately 3 hours. Volunteers will be sent a complete set of instructions to be read before arriving at the event. A map of the route and assignment descriptions will be provided at the Safety Briefing.
Notes
Pets are not to accompany volunteers on a Blues Crew work party due to work safety concerns. Volunteers must be 18 years of age. At this time, the Blue Mountain Land Trust is asking all work party volunteers to show proof of full vaccination for COVID-19 and to practice masking whenever social distancing is not possible. Our volunteers work only when feeling healthy.
