About

Looking for a quick hike in the cool forest of the Blue Mountains?  West Tiger Creek Trail USFS #3229 is for you.

A short 30-minute drive from Walla Walla up Mill Creek Road to Tiger Canyon Road gets you to the trailhead.

Old growth pine and fir fill the canyon.  The creek is great for exploring for small fish and frogs.  There are two open areas that make for nice picnic spots.

Three separate BMLT Blues Crew work parties cleared the trail of brush, logs and trash this summer.

Location

The trail is not currently well marked. Access it approximately 0.25 miles up Tiger Canyon Road from the Mill Creek bridge. Look for a USFS bulletin; the trail tracks down to creek from there. Parking is along the road.

Length

This trail follows the creek for about 1.5 miles, crossing it several times.  The trail ends at a slide that destroyed its connection with the upper Tiger Ridge Trail.
