The Wild & Scenic Film Festival inspires a love for nature through film.
This year's theme is re-generation. In exploring the theme of (re)generation, festival-goers can expect to see award-winning films about nature, community collaboration, adventure, conservation, water, energy and climate change, wildlife, environmental justice, and agriculture. Many of the films explore the possibilities of how to restore the earth and human communities while creating a positive future for the next generation.
Over eight-weeks beginning April 20, 2020, BMLT will be streaming a selection of short films that illustrate the challenges facing our planet and explore how communities are protecting the places they love. Each week, we will release a new lineup of films that conveys a broader theme of environmental activism.
We’re also offering three weeks of programs designed for children and young adults. The film programs will be accompanied by a set of activities that encourage young learners to think critically about the themes each film explores. Check out the full list of films here.
The best part? We’re presenting our online festival free-of-charge. To enjoy the films, select the button labeled “register” below and input the required information. Once submitted, you will receive an email from Eventbrite with a link to the film and password. The same password and link will be used for the entire eight weeks. If you don’t see the email in your inbox at first, check the spam folder. You only need to register once.
After you register, we will send you a reminder email each week with the link and password to the new set of films. Remember to view the films within the week, otherwise you’ll miss out!
Every registrant will automatically be entered into a weekly raffle with fun prizes from our national sponsors: Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, Klean Kanteen, Peak Design, EarthJustice, and Hipcamp. Winners will be announced in our weekly emails.
Please watch, share, and enjoy the following film line-up from the comfort of your home. Thank you for your patience in advance as we adapt to this new film festival environment.
In these uncertain times, we are excited to provide you with a boost of inspiration through these nature films. Enjoy.
