Springtography

Join the landscape photographers behind the BMLT book series The Blues (Volumes I, III, and V) for a morning of spring scene photography in the valley. Bill Rodgers and Mark Hussein will provide basic instruction on camera techniques, settings, and landscape scene composition.  During the morning and early afternoon, the group will visit several locations including: old KD Ranch granary (one of Bill’s favorite old clusters of wooden farm buildings, recently funded for restoration), the Weller Canyon vista point, and Bill’s giant iris plot featuring 200 varieties of tall bearded iris.

Time permitting, we will visit this year's fantastic sulphur lupine bloom up scenic Whiskey Creek.

A follow-up ZOOM class in post-production techniques using Photoshop, including photo enhancement, editing, and focus-stacking, will be scheduled tentatively for the week of June 7th. The session will be recorded and distributed to participants.

Participants will need to provide their own digital camera and be dressed for a cool morning and possibly rain. Please bring a tripod for those interested in learning the focus-stacking technique.

Cost: This year, we are offering "Pay What You Can" ticket options to make our events accessible for everyone. Suggested price is $45.
