Farm Kids Day Camp: Florabundance!

  • Welcome Table Farm 1812 Old Milton Highway Walla Walla, WA, 99362 United States (map)

Explore life at its most abundant stage through an investigation of blooms, propagation, and pollinators. We'll pick flowery snacks, catch and identify many beneficial specimens, and learn about the plant life cycle stages present on the farm. And of course, we will harvest farm flowers to make beautiful bouquets, garlands, and wreaths to take home!

Participants should bring a sack lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, sunhat, and an extra pair of clothes for getting dirty and wet.

Three trained camp counselors will lead this session with guest appearances from Welcome Table farmers.

We’re pleased to announce that our Farm Kids programs at Welcome Table Farm will proceed on the dates originally planned.

Walla Walla County is in Phase II of Governor Inslee’s Safe Start Washington Plan. To fully comply with Washington health and safety guidance for summer day camps, we will observe these standards:

  •  The size of each class will be limited to 14 students. Washington state guidance is 22 people or less.

  • Each class will be divided equally into two groups. Each group will be composed of 7 students or less plus two instructors.

  • All students and staff will wear facial cloth masks throughout the day. All children must bring their own facial coverings. We ask that parents have their children practice wearing their masks now.

  •  Hand sanitizing and handwashing will be required frequently.

  • Social distancing of 6 feet will be maintained to the best of our ability.

  • Verification of the students’ health by their parents/guardians will be required each day. We will take the student temperatures during the drop-off process.

We will continue to work with Walla Walla County Public Health personnel and follow all of their guidance. If our County’s phase-status worsens, the classes will be cancelled.
