In 2023, Blue Mountain Land Trust (BMLT) is offering public tours on our protected properties for the very first time! Join us to experience unique landscapes, learn about the protection and stewardship of important natural resources from BMLT staff and partners, and enjoy spending a day outdoors in special places not accessible to the general public.
Join us on Saturday, April 29 for a tour of our largest conservation easement project ever! The 9,000 acre Secret Valley Ranch in Unity, OR, is home to Greater sage-grouse, holistic cattle grazing, and an incredible family ranching legacy.
The tour will be led by BMLT executive director Amanda Martino and Mark and Patti Bennett, owners and operators of Secret Valley Ranch. Learn about the incredible conservation values of the ranch, ride in a hay wagon to tour the property, and hear about the 5+ year process to protect this sagebrush landscape forever.
