Kick off the summer season at BioBlitz 2023! Enjoy the day outside and learn more about the biodiversity thriving in the Walla Walla Valley.
BioBlitz is a chance for the community to come together and celebrate the biodiversity that exists in the Walla Walla Valley.
This fun event engages families with science activities to encourage participants to learn about the ecosystems, waters, and wildlife of the Blue Mountain region. By participating in BioBlitz, you’ll help our community learn more about the types of wildlife, plant, bird, and bug species that call this special place home.
BioBlitz is meant for everyone! No science background is needed. This event is free and open to the public.
Drop in at Rooks Park between 9:00 am - 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 3rd, and check in with our team to register at the table next to the Salmon Tent and receive your activity map. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
Activities include:
🌲 Catch and observe macroinvertebrates
🌲 Get up close to amphibians and reptiles
🌲 Examine bees under microscopes
🌲 Join nature walks with expert naturalists
