Adopt-A-Highway: Clean-up Crew

  • Andy's Market 1117 South College Avenue College Place, WA, 99324 United States (map)

Overview

Adopt-a-Highway (AAH) is a roadside clean-up program managed by the Washington Department of Transportation that promotes pride and local ownership across Washington communities.

Blue Mountain Land Trust is excited to support the AAH program for the third consecutive year. Join us to help keep a 2-mile corridor near Touchet, Washington, free of trash and litter. Together, our efforts will decrease the amount of refuge that litters adjacent landscapes and waterways. In 2019, our AAH volunteers collected 115 pounds of trash that would have ended up in nearby habitats and streams.

Schedule

  • 9:45 AM: Meet at Andy’s Market in College Place

  • 10:00 AM: Carpool to site (Mile posts 318-321) either end of Touchet

  • 10:30 -1:30 PM: Trash clean-up

  • 2:00 PM: Arrive at Andy’s Market
