From cross-country skiing in a peaceful meadow to snowshoeing on a flat beginner-friendly trail, Horseshoe Prairie Nordic Ski Area is the perfect place for families to connect to the outdoors, learn new hobbies, and enjoy the winter season.
Join us on Sunday, March 5th for a FREE family fun day at Horseshoe Prairie Nordic Ski Area. In collaboration with the Inter-Mountain Alpine Club (IMAC) and the Umatilla National Forest, we’re offering an opportunity to try cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on a groomed network of trails. There will be fun activities at the trailhead for kids and warm post-adventure treats courtesy of Public House 124. FREE for families and children ages 4+.
Arrive at Andies Prairie Sno-Park parking lot between 10:00 am - 1:00 pm and we will do our best to accommodate your interests. Our team will provide gear on a first come, first served basis. IMAC will provide instruction on the hour at 10:00 am, 11:00 am, and 12:00 pm.

What to bring:
🌲 Waterproof snow jacket, pants and warm layers (jacket, sweaters, base layers)
🌲 Sunglasses, goggles, and sunscreen
🌲 Gloves, hat, extra socks, and snow boots
🌲 Water & snacks
🌲 Pack to carry water, snacks, extra socks etc.
🌲 Transportation (we will provide an Oregon Sno-Park pass to park at Andie’s Prairie Sno Park)
🌲 Sleds to hit the sledding hill between sessions or as a back-up plan for the littles!
