Horseshoe Prairie Snow Party

  • Andies Prairie Parking Lot Weston-Elgin Highway OR United States (map)

Celebrate the season with a day of fun at Horseshoe Prairie in the beautiful Blue Mountains of Northeast Oregon!

Winter conditions are dynamic right now and our team is monitoring snowfall. We will keep everyone posted if event details change.

The event begins at 10:00 AM at Andies Prairie parking area and offers something for everyone, from first-time adventurers to seasoned winter enthusiasts. Snowshoes will be available to loan for those new to the activities, making it easy to join in on the excitement. If you need to borrow snowshoes, there is a $10 Ticket Option on Eventbrite with a scholarship option available. We have a limited supply, and we’ll update the website when they are no longer available.

Participants can enjoy a warm and welcoming atmosphere with hot drinks, hot soups, pastries, and other treats. At 10:30 a beginner’s ski lesson will be provided near the Kitchen and at 12:30 there will be a guided ski around Tamarack Trail. Guided snowshoe tours will be offered at 11:00 and 12:15. All excursions will be led by experienced skiers and snowshoers. Meet up will be on the Tamarack Trail near the trailhead of the Umatilla Rim Trail, where the main festivities will be happening.

Whether you're trying out winter sports for the first time or looking to explore the snowy trails with a group, this event is a wonderful way to embrace the season and connect with the natural beauty of the Blue Mountains.
