Come experience the joys of fly fishing with the North Fork John Day Watershed Council for an introductory lesson.
While on land, you’ll learn the fly fishing basics including an introduction to fly casting with a fly rod, and techniques and flies used to catch different species. At the end of the lesson, the class will compete in a casting competition to give you a chance to win hand-tied flies for your next fly fishing experience. Once you’ve got the hang of technique on land you’ll be ready to fish the rivers.
