Nature Kids: STEM in Nature

  • Water and Environmental Center, WWCC 640 Water Center Dr Walla Walla, WA, 99362 United States (map)

Did you know beavers built a dam twice the width of Hoover Dam? Engineers are constantly inspired by nature. Investigate these natural systems and hypothesize why and how they exist. Let nature inspire your experiments!

Nature Kids events are free and open to the public. These events are casual, drop-in and enjoy events, pre-registration is not required.

Activities are best suited for children ages 3 - 12 years old. All children must be accompanied by an adult chaperone at these events (except Nature Kids on the Farm). Contact Lauren Platman with any questions at lauren@bmlt.org or 509-525-3136.

Nature Kids is presented in partnership with the Umatilla National Forest. This event is supported by the Water and Environmental Center, the Army Corps of Engineers, Tetra Tech, and the Sustainable Living Center.
