Strawberry Lake, fed by melting winter snow, is set amongst towering pine trees in the Strawberry Mountain Wilderness. This hike is picturesque from trailhead to lake shore and affords the opportunity to capture a variety of plant and wildlife on camera.
Local photographer Ashley Stevick will lead hikers on this scenic tour and offer tips on how to best capture nature on camera – whether it be an up-close image of a single flower or an abstract image of fallen leaves. Ashley Stevick has been photographing and producing fine art images from national forests and wilderness areas for years, and her artwork is sold in several locations throughout the John Day area.
