Trails inside designated wilderness boundaries are only open to foot and horse use. Dispersed camping in designated wilderness areas is allowed and requires a wilderness permit. All other trails inside National Forest boundaries are suitable for foot, horse, mountain bike, and OHV/ATV use.

Dispersed camping is allowed most places within National Forest boundaries. Some exceptions include administrative sites, special use permit areas, and sensitive areas for archeology or wildlife. For more information about camping, use of campfires, and Leave No Trace practices, contact your local Forest Service office.
