+ Become a Member

Annual membership dues play a vital role in our ability to protect land, provide natural resource education, and promote outdoor recreation in the Blue Mountains regions. Membership support has protected over 4,000 acres of open space, farmland and wildlife habitat and has engaged over 3,000 community members in conservation education.

Over 70% of our operating expenses are paid by donations from businesses, foundations, and individual donors, like you. If you share our passion for land conservation, we invite you to become a member today.

+ Business Sponsorships

Businesses are invited to sponsor one or more of our Learning on the Land events. Learning on the Land is an education series about our area’s natural resources that includes field trips, outdoor adventures, treks, a lecture series, film festivals and many other offerings. It is open to the public. Families and children are especially encouraged to attend.

Sponsorships range from $500 to $2,000 per event. Sponsors receive substantial acknowledgments in our publications and promotional materials.

+ Join our Founder's Circle

The Founders’ Circle is a special society of our most committed friends who support us with very significant gifts made annually and pledged over a five-year period.

The society honors the farsighted individuals who founded the Blue Mountain Land Trust and led it as board members during its first five years.

+ Donate Land

We would not be here without landowners who are passionate about preserving the rural character of the Blue Mountains.

If you have property you no longer use or want to maintain, you can donate the land to the Blue Mountain Land Trust. Your land doesn’t have to look like a nature preserve to support our mission.

For more information on your land donation see Your Land Legacy. Contact Conservation Director Jason Bulay at 509-525-3136 or email jason@bmlt.org to get the conversation started.

+ Bequest

Allocate any amount, percentage, or remainder of your estate or other assets to Blue Mountain Land Trust through your will. Simply name the Blue Mountain Land Trust in your will or trust documents. This is a great choice if compensation is not a necessity and you do not want to limit the current use of your land.

+ Volunteer Your Time

It takes a community to protect the land we love. If you'd like to join our various committees dedicated to conservation, education, or recreation, please contact our Education and Development Specialist, Lauren Platman at 509-525-3136 or lauren@bmlt.org.
